Le labbra, modellate con una tonalità scura e profonda, sostituiscono l’esuberanza del rosso con un accento più enigmatico e meditativo. La costruzione cromatica della composizione segue una logica duale. Sul lato sinistro, le ortensie lilla creano una gamma fredda, vibrante, fatta di trasparenze e sovrapposizioni che evocano morbidezza e ombra. On the left side, lilac hydrangeas create a cool, vibrant range, made up of transparencies and overlaps that evoke softness and shadow. It is a compact bloom, echoed in the sequence of butterflies on the opposite side of the bust: light creatures, in the same purple tones, establishing an oblique visual dialogue, a trajectory that crosses the figure and highlights its internal harmony - a balance that recalls the Sage’s ability to hold apparent opposites together. The upper right, on the other hand, introduces a warm counterpart: red, orange and white flowers, arranged as a counterpoint that breaks the symmetry and amplifies the dynamism of the entire composition. This dialectic between warm and cold is not just a chromatic exercise, but a narrative construction: the figure seems to emerge from two contrasting energies, reconciling them in a measured and conscious presence. The glasses, with their dark frames, reinforce the contemporary feel of the series, but here they take on an additional value: they accentuate a gaze that, although not visible, seems to observe without haste, interpret without judgement, as if it were guarding a profound knowledge.
