In questo pannello, la figura appare come sospesa in un istante di luce piena, colta mentre si affaccia da una soglia luminosa. È la postura tipica dell’Esploratrice: un corpo proteso verso ciò che è oltre, verso un altrove che non si mostra ma che chiama. Il taglio verticale sulla destra, netto e silenzioso, amplifica questa sensazione: sembra la cornice di una finestra aperta su un territorio sconosciuto, forse marino, forse semplicemente possibile. Un invito a immaginare ciò che lei sta osservando fuori dall’immagine. Il grande cappello, costruito con una progressione di gialli, aranci e rossi, irradia una luminosità intensa. È un segno solare che evoca movimento, viaggio, direzioni da seguire; una qualità di luce tipica delle coste mediterranee, dove il sole accompagna ogni attraversamento. A questa energia si contrappone la presenza di un unico fiore, voluminoso, dalle sfumature perlacee: un dettaglio che introduce silenzio, come una traccia raccolta lungo il cammino. Il vestito, composto da tessere nelle gamme del blu, del bianco e dell’amaranto, suggerisce un tessuto estivo, leggero, attraversato da cangianti che ricordano l’andamento dell’acqua. Le variazioni cromatiche riproducono pieghe e movimenti con una precisione che sfiora l’illusione pittorica. Il volto, parzialmente nascosto dagli occhiali specchiati, rimane enigmatico. Le labbra rosse, lucide, catturano la stessa luce del cappello, diventando un punto focale. Gli occhiali introducono un gioco di riflessi che dialoga con il fondo in Vetrite, mentre l’assenza dello sguardo rafforza l’idea dell’Esploratrice: ciò che vede appartiene solo a lei. L’opera restituisce così l’impressione di un momento rubato al viaggio: una figura che vive dentro un frammento d’estate, tra luce, silenzio e un orizzonte che non vediamo ma che la sua postura suggerisce con forza.

An invitation to imagine what she is observing outside the image. The large hat, constructed with a progression of yellows, oranges and reds, radiates an intense luminosity. It is a sunny sign that evokes movement, travel, directions to follow; a quality of light typical of the Mediterranean coast, where the sun accompanies every crossing. This energy is contrasted by the presence of a single, voluminous flower with pearly shades: a detail that introduces silence, like a trace gathered along the way. The dress, composed of tiles in shades of blue, white and amaranth, suggests a light summer fabric, crossed by iridescent hues reminiscent of the movement of water. The colour variations reproduce folds and movements with a precision that borders on pictorial illusion. The face, partially hidden by mirrored glasses, remains enigmatic. The red, shiny lips capture the same light as the hat, becoming a focal point. The glasses introduce a play of reflections that dialogues with the Vetrite background, while the absence of a gaze reinforces the idea of the Explorer: what she sees belongs only to her. The work thus conveys the impression of a moment stolen from the journey: a figure living within a fragment of summer, amid light, silence and a horizon that we cannot see but which her posture strongly suggests.
