Our History

Founded in 1987 in Ravenna, Italy, by Maurizio Leo Placuzzi, SICIS quickly rose to prominence as a global leader in the art of mosaic. But our journey didn’t end there. Inspired by a vision of creating harmonious interiors, we expanded into furniture design and launched our own interior design division. Driven by an unrelenting passion for mosaic art, we delved into the ancient craft of micromosaic, reinterpreting it through the lens of goldsmith artistry. This exploration gave birth to our enchanting jewelry creations, where creativity and meticulous craftsmanship converge in a kaleidoscope of natural minerals, gold, and gemstones. Under the creative direction of Gioia Placuzzi, SICIS continues to evolve. Our collections now feature high jewelry, prêt-à-porter pieces, and timepieces. With four flagship boutiques and a curated network of dealers across the globe, we’ve forged impactful collaborations and brought our unique artistry to new heights.
