SICIS seleziona e combina i 179 toni di vetro di cui è la sola a disporre, gioca con le superfici specchiate e iridescenti, alterna opacità e trasparenze per dare vita a un giardino multiforme e spettacolare. Su eleganti texture di sfondo sbocciano motivi floreali ora ispirati alle ardenti atmosfere spagnole, ora alle delicate primavere provenzali, da Barcellona ad Arles, e poi ancora da Venezia a Tunisi lungo il percorso liquido del mare come in quello dell’immaginazione. Mediterranea ha tutti i caratteri delle sue città, delle civiltà che intorno ad esse si abbracciano, dei toni dell’ambra come quelli del turchese, della menta come del melograno. I colori si fondono senza confondersi nelle sfumature perfette di un petalo, nei pistilli, nelle venature esatte delle foglie. Mediterranea è ricerca e sintesi: da una parte, la modularità replicabile e perfetta del mosaico totalmente computerizzato in una miriade di combinazioni fatte di texture di sfondo e soggetti floerali componibili con la massima libertà, dall’altra, la possibilità assolutamente esclusiva di realizzare gli stessi elementi decorativi con la tecnica del mosaico artistico per un risultato ancora più dettagliato e unico. SICIS selects and blends the 179 shades of glass usually employed, playing with the mirrored and iridescent surfaces and alternating matts and transparencies to create a spectacular, multi-form ‘garden’. Floral motifs bud forth from elegant textures, some inspired by the ardent Spanish atmosphere, others devoted to delicate Provencal springtimes, from Barcelona to Arles, and yet others from Venice to Tunis, along the liquid path of the sea, as that of the imagination. Mediterranea has all the characters of its cities and civilisations that embrace around it, with amber hues and turquoise shades, mint and pomegranate. The colours blend without losing themselves in the perfect tones of a petal, pistils, the exact veining of the leaves. Mediterranea is research and synthesis: on the one hand, the repeated, perfect modularity of the fully-computerised mosaic in a myriad of combinations of background textures and floral subjects to be arranged at will, and on the other, the absolutely exclusive option of creating the same decorative elements with the artistic mosaic technique, for an even more detailed and unique result.
